webIRB RETIREMENT – JULY 01, 2025
We have completed our migration activities from webIRB to BruinIRB.
As of 07/01/2025, all accounts in webIRB will be deactivated. Study teams will no longer have access to study information in webIRB.
- Regulatory Documentation: We encourage you to download any information from webIRB as soon as possible, if needed for regulatory binder/research records. Study teams will not have access to webIRB as of 07/01/2025 to view or download any information.
- Exempt Studies: As a reminder, studies that are Certified Exempt in webIRB were not migrated to BruinIRB.
- The activity to request migration will not be available in the webIRB system as of 07/01/2025.
- Substantive changes to a Certified Exempt study that has not been migrated will require a new submission in BruinIRB.
- If you need those studies migrated to BruinIRB, please review our Migration of Exempt Studies from webIRB to BruinIRB quick guide. Please review the Certification of Exemption from IRB Review (Pages 2-3) to determine if you believe your study should be migrated for future modifications.
